Family Lines System Railroad Map
From 1972 to 1982, the Family Lines System was a marketing umbrella and a collective group of railroads that worked together to better compete with the Southern Railway. The Family Line railroads for the most part were still operated independently, even though they had common ownership.
Here is the map of the Family Lines System as it primarily existed during much of those ten years. In 1982, the Family Lines became the Seaboard System Railroad, making it clear that this consolidation was more than a marketing partnership.
